Vegan

Located on a small hill overlooking the forest, river, and sea, this beautiful café in Kaeda serves a buffet-style lunch made from produce grown in the adjacent greenhouse. There is also a shop next door that sells organic sweets and snacks, and clothing and toiletries. The café offers a vegan bento box (with brown rice and 4-5 dishes) and makes sugar-, egg- and dairy-free Christmas and birthday cakes to order. They also do catering for parties and events.

Known for its meat-free Chicken Nanban, this cozy, 7-table eatery across from the Miyazaki Prefectural Art Museum also offers Japanese meals, curry, and taco rice. All the dishes are vegan (except for one or two desserts that have honey) and are made using organic, seasonal vegetables. The restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, also has an impressive organic drink selection, including jasmine tea and grain coffee.
